Gorgeous Storage & Toy Boxes By RICE.DK.
We have been crazy about the gorgeous raffia storage boxes by RICE since we started working together, almost 10 years ago now. I can’t believe where the years have gone! The toy boxes are all designed in Denmark by Charlotte and then produced by hand with love and care in Madagascar.
I am always stunned by the colours and attention to detail on each and every toy box. Obviously because each one is hand crafted and each and every box is unique.
As a family we have a lot of RICE storage boxes dotted all over our home. Not only are they gorgeous to look at they are practical too! We use them for shoes, hats, gloves and scarfs, fancy dress, magazines, lego, keep sakes, you name it really.
This season Charlotte has designed a stunning collection of storage houses all inspired by the wonderful fairytales of Hans Christian Andersen. We have the gorgeous Snow Queen box in stunning blues and greens, the pretty Princess And The Pea in soft pinks and greens and the adorable Thumbelina design in pastel blue.
The toy boxes look adorable stacked up together or dotted around your playroom or bed room. The boxes are surprisingly robust and ours have lasted incredibly well over the years. We have built up quite a collection.
For the little more adventurous Charlotte has designed a new set of boxes including the dinosaurs, the animal rescue bus and the sea turtle. These three boxes come in rich blues, greens and cream.
We have also been selling the very pretty box baskets for years now. Available in new fresh colours, these baskets are fab under beds or stacked neatly on shelves. Mix and match the colours or co-ordinate with your own interior colour schemes, we have so many to choose from. Each box has two handy handles on the sides and they are (in my opinion!) the perfect size.
RICE believe it is very important for all their products to be produced with respect for their workers, most of there products are made by workers in third world countries. RICE insist on fair working conditions, no child labour, no discrimination and minimum pay. I totally love the RICE ethics.
